Carpet Cleaning

E-mail

South Bay Carpet Cleaning has provided exceptional carpet cleaning services in the South Bay, Los Angeles, and Long Beach areas since 1981. We service the carpet needs of both commercial and residential customers.

We have expertise in all aspects of carpet cleaning. We use only the highest quality chemicals and equipment available to achieve exceptional results. Each carpet has its own unique characteristics, e.g.: traffic clow, fiber type, source of soiling, age of the carpet, previous cleaning methods, and so on.

Our hot water extraction process is the one most carpet manufacturers recommend. Deep-down clean and service that's second to none with a strong clientele built on reputation, referrals, honesty, industry standard rates, and repeat business.

  • Our Cleaning process begins with a thorough vacuuming of surface dirt and grime while loosening deep embedded dirt.
  • We then pre-condition the traffic areas where carpet is most soiled and/or stained, wax, ink, coffee, tea, wine, Kool-Aid, and pet stains.
  • Your carpet is thoroughly rinsed
  • A 200psi extractor pulls water and moisture from the carpet leaving the carpet nearly dry before job is complete.

We reommend you stay away from grocery advertised carpet and upholstery spotters. They can permanently set stains.

Carpet Protection: Not all carpets need carpet protection when they are cleaned. Hoever, depending on how soiled and how long you go between cleanings can be a measure of if protector is right for your carpet.

Carpet protector can protect your carpet fibers frome veryday dust, dirt, and spills that can become hard to clean.

Benefits of carpet protection:

  • Easier stain cleanup
  • Easier Vacumming of soils
  • Carpets look better and last longer.

Protection your carpet is the same principles as waxing your car after it's washed.

* Carpet protection is recommended and provided upon request for an additional fee to keep future dirt and spills from soiling your carpet and keeping it clean longer.

Oriental - Area Rugs

E-mail

South Bay Carpet Cleaning has nearly 30 years of experience in cleaning Oriental, Persian and Tapestry area rugs to include wool, olefin, nylon, silk and cotton materials.  We treat each rug individually and before cleaning we pre-test your rugs for wear, tear and bleeding to determine the best method of cleaning.

We carefully treat each rug as if it were a sentimental piece of art.

As dust and soils collect upon your rug, it quickly begins the process of settling down into the base of the rug. Running a vacuum on the top will remove much of the surface lint, but the heavier particles will actually be aided on their downward movement by the vibrating of the vacuum cleaner. Once the soil settles into the base, foot traffic will cause it to rub against the fibers, slowly breaking them down, and leading to wear.

This wear process can be slowed down by making sure the dirt and grit on the base is removed. Ideally, this is done by a professional with a thorough wash.

  • First the carpet is vacuumed front and back. Vacuuming the back sends harmonic vibrations through the back of your carpet. This loosens the dry soil from the base.
  • Next, the carpet is wet cleaned with the appropriate products and rinsed. The carpet comes to life with the same brilliant color and softness as when first purchased.
*South Bay Carpet Cleaning provides FREE local pickup and delivery in many local areas.

Upholstery/Couch Cleaning

E-mail

South Bay Carpet Cleaning provides on-site cleaning of your sofa, chairs or other upholstered furniture in your home.

Upholstery cleaning is not something you want to trust with an inexperienced cleaning technician. Inexperience can lead to damaged upholstery, especially on rare and expensive fabrics.

Your fabrics are safe with South Bay Carpet Cleaning. Special consideration is given to color fastness and dimensional stability. Our expertise requires a thorough evaluation of your fabric before cleaning begins. Not one cleaning process or product will work on all fabric types.

Don’t attempt to remove your upholstery cushions and try washing them in a domestic washing machine. Washing them in your home washer can cause excess shrinking and bleeding of your fabric.

We recommend you stay away from grocery advertised carpet and upholstery spotters. They can permanently set stains.

Fabric Protection is recommended and provided upon request for an additional fee to keep future dirt and spills from soiling your upholstery and keeping it clean longer

Green Carpet Cleaning

E-mail

Green carpet cleaning considers human health and safety, ecological toxicity, environmental impact, and resource conservation.

Green cleaning relies on “biogases” products that rely on plant and/or animal materials.  These products are sustainable, renewable resources and generally do not contain toxins, synthetics, or environmentally damaging materials and are generally safer for the environment then petroleum based counter parts.

Berber, Wool and Olefin Cleaning

E-mail

There are several types of Berber carpet made from a range of materials. Nylon, olefin, and wool are the most common materials, and the size of loops and cut pile varies for each manufacturer. Olefin is the most commonly used material for Berber carpets.

The challenge in having Berber is that it can be difficult to keep clean once dirt gets lodged in the fibers. Regrettably many of these stains can be permanent if not corrected quickly by a professional carpet cleaner.

South Bay Carpet Cleaning uses a rinse all product to ensure no soil wicks back during the drying process. As with all carpets, Berber should be cleaned every 6 to 12 months to prevent permanent wear patterns.

Carpet Stain Removal

Stain Removal

Stain removal can be the most challenging aspect of carpet cleaning. Wine, Juice drinks, coffee, pet accidents and household chemicals, can discolor your carpet. South Bay Carpet Cleaning uses unique techniques, and solutions to remove or greatly minimize stains including the following:

  • Wax
  • Paint
  • Fruit Drinks
  • Kool-Aid
  • Ink
  • Grease
  • Urine
  • Rust

Of course, not all stains can be removed and many of the common “grocery store” spotting agents can permanently set stains. Treat them as soon as possible. The longer you wait the more the stain will soak into the fibers. Immediately blot up as much of the liquid or debris as possible with a dry cloth or paper towel. Don’t rub or scrub the area with a rag, this damages the fibers and may create a permanent scar.

Use cold, not hot water to rinse the stained area completely. Hot water can set the stain and make it difficult if not impossible to remove. Press clean cloths deeply into the carpet to take up moisture until the stain no longer appears and schedule a cleaning with South Bay Carpet Cleaning.

If you have a stain the quicker it gets attention the greater likelihood it can be removed.

Pet Stain and Odor Removal

E-mail

Your family’s lovable pet can be your carpet or upholstery worst nightmare.

Pet accident’s happen. Unless the urine is properly addressed, further damage to your carpet, carpet pad, and/or flooring can occur.

South Bay Carpet Cleaning has a comprehensive pet odor removal process. In some cases, normal cleaning or light deodorizing may be all that is needed. However, in more severe cases where pet urine has soaked through the carpet for long periods of time and into the pad, a special tool is used to pull deep pockets of urine from the carpet. A “black light” can be used to help locate the urine soak areas of the carpet. A good deodorizer can be used to prevent your animal from relocating his/her favorite spot in the carpet.

What ever level of problem you have, the carpet must be addressed properly to successfully eliminate the odor and keep urine from delaminating the back or your carpet.

South Bay Carpet Cleaning has the right tools and expertise to eliminate urine problems and odor.
